Accessibility Statement
I want this site to be usable by everyone. It aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, though it hasn't been through a formal accessibility audit.
What's in place
- Keyboard access: every link, button and the mobile menu can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone (Tab to move between them, Enter to activate, Esc to close the mobile menu).
- Visible focus: a visible outline appears around whichever link, button or menu item currently has keyboard focus.
- Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, this site's animations and transitions are minimised.
- Colour contrast: the text colours used for body text, links and labels meet the WCAG AA contrast minimum of 4.5:1 against their backgrounds.
- Images: every image on the site has descriptive alt text.
- Responsive layout: the page reflows to fit a 320px-wide screen without needing to scroll sideways.
Known limitations
- My CV (the PDF linked from this site) is a design export and hasn't been tagged for screen readers. If you use assistive technology and need an accessible version, please email me and I'll send you one.
- My mini portfolio PDF is tagged, but I haven't separately checked its accessibility.
- This site hasn't yet been tested with a screen reader.
